Who We Are

WiEN Community Group was founded on 12th January 2018 by June Hamid which started off as a small community Facebook group with only 11 members at that time.

As acronym for Women’s Innovative Empowerment Network which has now grown exponentially to a progressive CommUnity Commerce movement that encourages harmony, inclusivity and diversity with a focus on individual Artisan, Cottage Industry & SME Micro-Entrepreneurs.

Our Vision

To be an exemplary CommUnity that celebrates and respects humanity.

Our Mission

We do this by being a CommUnity that respects, trusts and is inspired by each other. We are thus empowered and take absolute delight in CommUnity Success. Our collective rice bowl thrives as a result, and we continue to seek greater heights, collectively.

The WiEN Win Team

The  WiEN Management Team comprises of June Hamid, Aurora Ho and Koid Li Cheen.

We also have a great supportive event and moderator team that comprises of Bobby Gan, Mary Lai, Roger Ting, Mei Ng, Corina Tan, Amanda Choong and Ah Wai. We render our CommUnity duties as non-paid volunteers, with funding from bazaars, events and related activities to primarily fund our main initiatives.

I am a mother of two grown children, recently promoted to the role of Glam Ma and working as an international management consultant, global corporate trainer, and performance coach with over 26 years of corporate strategy experience.

A social and digital entrepreneur, I am also in the midst of completing a doctorate as well.  I consider myself the ultimate buyer and observer,  infinitely curious of the world around me. Last but not least, I am a foodie who loves the beach, traveling, as well as exploring bazaars and markets all over the world. Affectionately known to the WiEN Community as “MamaJune”.

Mary Lai Mah Lee

Voluntarily retiring in 2015, I have since become an online entrepreneur of multiple products including plants, organic insect repellent and multipurpose household detergent. My passion for gardening has led to a keen interest in sustainable horticulture by introducing living microbes into soil to encourage healthy plant growth. Plants that grow from micobe-treated soil will eventually lead to them being pest-free and disease resistant, hence yielding better fruit  trees and pesticide free greens. In my efforts to encourage sustainability, I have begun promoting eco-friendly and sustainable products to my clients as well. The change starts with me.

Koid Li Cheen

A big dreamer who also resonates kindness and dedication beyond her duties. She has experiences in multiple sectors such as Manufacturing, Hospitality, Education, Telecommunications and IT.

Rest assured you will be greeted with a smile and a hearty conversation when met.

Roger Ting

A thorn amongst the roses, I am a self-proclaimed geek with over ten years of experience in the telecommunications industry. Affectionately known as “Uncle Bawang” within the WIEN Community, I am also a self-taught cake artist with a passion for making delectable desserts and pastries. I currently co-manage the day to day operations of my independent business venture called Ieat.Iburp.

Mei Ng

Mei Ng, proud mommy to a 9  years old boy, as formerly an Advertising producer who decided to take a complete 180 degree change in career and became a certified massge therapist and trainer. She has 10 years’ experience specialising in deep tissue therapy, oncology massage and therapeutic massge. As of 2023, she has also added Pranic healer to her resume. Most times stuck to the phone so she’s happy to assist everyone as much as she can.

Corina Tan

A freelance writer, an online entrepreneur, and a kidney transplant survivor, I come from a multi-racial and multi-cultural family. Semi-retired so I can prioritise my health, I am also a cookie and handbag enthusiast with 20 years of experience as an online entrepreneur. Chocolate is my weakness, getting through life’s toughest challenges is my strength. Open to constantly learning, growing and continuous self-improvement, I strive to use my experinces to support others whenever the opportunity arises. Peace, tranquility, harmony and achieving a positive life balance is my goal.
